Alvina is a multi-talented entrepreneur with a passion for the beauty world, natural skincare and organic farming. As a skilled hair stylist, she has years of experience in the beauty industry, creating stunning looks for countless clients. Specializing in hair color and color correction, Alvina has cultivated a loyal clientele who depend on her consistent results. In 2020, Alvina launched her skin care business, Root Down Cleansing, a company dedicated to using all natural ingredients to create soaps, salves, lotions and other skin care products to remedy many common skin disorders. Recently, Alvina has expanded her horizons to include a new dedication to organic farming to support her skincare products. Drawing on her extensive knowledge of herbal and medicinal plants, Alvina plans to grow her own ingredients for use in many of her handmade products as well as a new offering of all natural tinctures and teas. Her farm, located at the UFI in Watkins Park, Maryland, is dedicated to using organic, sustainable farming practices while supporting those who have been under-represented in the farming industry.
