We’re partnering with Linda Jones from Elements of Nature to offer herbal teas. Linda is a graduate of our Beginning Farmer Training Program. She is a certified master gardener and owner of Elements of Nature – Botanicals and Farmaceuticals, Clinton, Maryland where she focuses on growing flowers and herbs and gardening education. She is an avid seed collector and has a collection of over 500 varieties of open-pollinated and heirloom, annual, perennial and herb seeds. The teas available are:
- Peppermint (Organic Peppermint leaf)
- Forever Fruit (Organic rose hips, Organic Lemongrass, Organic Hibiscus flowers, Organic orange peel, Organic peppermint leaf)
- Lemon Ginger (Organic roasted chicory root, organic ginger root, organic orange peel, organic lemon essential oil, organic lemongrass, organic hibiscus flowers, organic coriander seed, organic cinnamon chips)
- Hibiscus (Organic hibiscus flowers -Hibiscus Tea – AKA Red Roselle and Florida Cranberry. Allergen alert: May contain peanut or shell fragments hibiscus may be processed in a facility that processes peanuts)
- Chai
All products are organic and each unit makes 15-20 servings* of 8oz cup of tea.
Directions: Brew 1-2 teaspoons of teaspoons of tea in strainer then place in a cup of 8 ounces of boiling water and steep for 3-5 minutes. Strain and enjoy.
Cost and payment: The cost of each unit is $5. Add your desired flavors and quantity to your cart and check out.
How to order: Orders will be distributed on a bi-weekly basis. Orders must be submitted by Tuesday end of day of that week to ensure that your order will be ready. The order/pick-up schedule is as follows:
- Order by Tuesday, Jan 30 for pick-up on Thursday, Feb 2
- Order by Tuesday, Feb 14 for pick-up on Thursday, Feb 16
- Order by Tuesday, Feb 28 for pick-up on Thursday, March 2
- Order by Tuesday, March 14 for pick-up on Thursday, March 16
Pick-up, no delivery available: Orders will be available for pick-up every other Thursday, from 3-5pm at the Edmonston Farm (4913 Crittenden Street Edmonston, MD 20781).
