Giving Tuesday 2021

Dear Friends,

Thank you for your support of ECO City Farms! Whether you volunteered, participated in our CSA, or followed us through social media, the work of ECO would not be possible without the support of community members like you. This #GivingTuesday, we hope you will join a movement of people worldwide to tap into the power of human connection and make an impact in our community.

Over the past 18 months, our resilience has been tested by a changing climate, global pandemic, and nation-wide injustices. Amidst a time of heightened food insecurity, ECO’s work to increase access to sustainably-grown, affordable fresh produce is more important than ever. By teaching the next generation of urban farmers and consumers, we are working to regenerate the health of our environment and connect people back to the roots of nature.

We invite you to help us continue to serve our local community. Every donation and act of kindness counts.

Donations from last year’s Giving Tuesday campaign helped us to increase our production by covering the costs of seeds, tools and amendments for the 2021 growing season. This support allowed us to provide weekly donations of farm shares to local seniors and families in need. Your donation this year will allow us to continue to provide healthy food to our community, who still feels the detrimental impacts of the pandemic.

Here is how you can get ready to give:
  • Mark your calendar: Set a reminder for Tuesday, November 30th.
  • Donate Directly: Before or on Tuesday, November 30th, check out our campaign and donate to our organization! If you are unable to donate at this time, you can also show support by telling your friends and family about us, following us on social media (@ecocityfarms), or by looking out for volunteer opportunities in the Spring.
  • Spread the word: Encourage your friends and family to join you in creating real impact by sharing what our mission means to you and why you support our organization. Make sure you tag us (@ecocityfarms) and hashtag #GivingTuesday so we can share your post!

We look forward to seeing you on #GivingTuesday! In times of uncertainty, let’s rally together to build an equitable, sustainable food system in the Chesapeake food-shed that provides nutritious, high-quality food for all.

Warmest wishes,

Your local farmers at ECO City Farms
