Food Day 2021

Dear friends, neighbors, and community,

ECO City Farms invites you to celebrate National Food Day with us this year!

Food Day is a nationwide celebration of healthy, affordable, and sustainably produced food, celebrated annually on October 24th. Food Day aims to help people to “eat real” by raising awareness around our food systems and offering resources on nutrition education, growing your own food, and sustainability. Together, we can make a difference in the health of our communities and become more conscious of the growing practices that bring our food from farm to table!

We encourage you to be curious and learn more about healthy and sustainable food practices by participating in our Food Day Bingo Challenge, launching on October 11th, 2021. The challenge will consist of action items related to healthy and mindful eating, sustainable agriculture, and food justice. We will be posting resources and information on our blog space to help guide you and offer suggestions for completing these activities. Those who complete a row or column of 4 actions by Oct 23, 2021 will be eligible to receive a free gift at our Open House on October 23, 2021, from 1-2:30pm. All are invited to attend the Open House, event registration required.
