ECO City’s Food Day 2014 celebration was an immeasurable success. Hundreds of people, of all ages, nationalities, color and creed our arrived at our Edmonston farm for an afternoon celebrating local food, arts and businesses. A special thanks goes out to our vendors and partners, including longtime collaborators Zenful Bites, Maribel A. Rodriguez of Marble Arch Gardens, Sade Anderson as well as many of our wonderful friends at the Riverdale Farmers Market. The multi-talented Wayne Saleem Waters returned this year to provide soulful sounds throughout the afternoon, Kristen Arant led a djembe drum circle, and Jessica Quiroz of Joe’s Movement Emporium, galvanized the crowd with an impromptu salsa lesson.

If you have any great memories from our Food Day 2014, please send me an e-mail me at volunteer@ecoffshoots.org and we’ll publish them on our Facebook page!
