Autumn Woods Public Meeting – February 2014

The ECO Farms staff hosted a successful public meeting with the residents of the Emerson Woods in Bladensburg. With our newly built community garden just across the street, we wanted to introduce ourselves to the residents, educate them about the mission of the garden and give us feedback on what they wanted from ECO and how they could contribute. Mayor of Bladensburg Walter Lee James, Jr. opened the meeting with comments, while ECO Farms CEO Margaret gave a presentation, and followed with a Q&A. The meeting was also attended by John Moss, Town Administrator for Bladensburg, as well as Council Member Beverly Hall. Vivana also brought some of her delicious quinoa salad and hummus for everyone to sample.
