Urban Agriculture Class – Spring 2014

Thank you to all the students (and now graduates of) our Spring 2014 Intensive Urban Agriculture class. Over the three-day course held the first weekend of April, students, both veteran farmers and novice gardeners alike, learned everything from soil management and garden maintenance to marketing and seed planning. As shown in the photos above (click the photo to access the gallery), our farm educator Christian explains how to use some of the tools available for tilling the soil and planting seeds. He also shows-off a custom-built tool which (almost) perfectly marks the spots to plant the seeds.
